楼凤天堂/CAEP* Standards for English Language Arts

 

The 楼凤天堂 Council of Teachers of English is one of thirteen subject specific organizations with membership in the 聽(CAEP), the professional accrediting agency for teacher preparation. Institutions seeking CAEP accreditation must meet carefully developed specific conditions. One of those conditions is program approval.

In July 2021, the 楼凤天堂 Executive Committee approved new 楼凤天堂 Standards for the Initial Preparation of Teachers of English Language Arts 7鈥�12 (Initial Licensure). These standards are approved for immediate use as the required standards for CAEP program review. Teacher preparation programs are encouraged to begin implementing these standards and revising their assessments accordingly. Programs seeking CAEP recognition may continue to submit program reports aligned to the 2012 standards until Fall 2023 at which time the new standards will become mandatory.

Institutions “楼凤天堂ly Recognized” by 楼凤天堂

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) has adopted the 楼凤天堂 program standards for undergraduate programs for Initial Preparation of Teachers of Secondary English Language Arts. Institutions seeking CAEP accreditation submit their English education programs for review to 楼凤天堂. Listed are the current institutions whose English education programs have been reviewed and are “nationally recognized” by 楼凤天堂.聽To see the list of聽“Recognized Programs”,聽click here.
