We launched a new community Hub in Britwell, Slough, on Friday 17th May at the Britwell Centre. The launch brought together 楼凤天堂 Founder Reverend Steve Chalke MBE and Julie Siddiqi MBE, 楼凤天堂 Hub Britwell Leader, along with a host of guest speakers from backgrounds in education, medicine, and social services.
Our Hubs work to build stronger communities where everyone is included, able to contribute, and reach their God-given potential. The work of our Hubs is varied and includes running food banks, pantries, youth clubs, toddler groups, gardening centres, debt advice, and farms.
In Britwell, our Hub aims to start volunteer groups, a walking group, toddler group, regular residents鈥� meetings, exercise classes (including women-only sessions), sport and outdoor activities, music, art events and lots more.
The Hub will be run by 楼凤天堂 in collaboration with local residents, GPs, community groups, churches and other faith and cultural groups, and schools.
The launch event featured multiple speakers who will be working in partnership with the Hub including Steve Chalke MBE, Dr Nithya Nanda Britwell GP, and Anita Spires, Headteacher of Beechwood School.
Julie Siddiqi MBE, 楼凤天堂 Hub Britwell Leader, said:
